County Commissioners
Texas County Commissioners are elected officials responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of their respective counties. Each Texas county is divided into four precincts, with one commissioner elected from each precinct to serve on the Commissioners Court, alongside the county judge, who presides over the court. Together, the Commissioners Court is responsible for setting the county's budget, levying taxes, and managing public infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and county facilities. Additionally, county commissioners play a key role in local governance by approving policies, addressing constituents' concerns, and ensuring the effective delivery of services such as public safety, health, and environmental initiatives. Their decisions directly impact the daily lives of residents, making them a vital part of county government.
